Analysis option to define a fixed water level by a river or the sea
 
In the book "Herth, Arndts: Theory and Practice of Dewatering" (translated from the German title), example 9 shows the option to define a fixed water level by a river or the sea in a certain distance as a boundary condition. For that, the range (reach) of the dewatering is limited to double the distance of the waters.

In the new version 4.1 of the program DC-Dewatering, this analysis option is supported now.

A larger number of required wells is resulting, while the position of the wells has to be selected in the special case depending on the position of the waters and the direction of streaming.

New Automatic function for the filling of soil layer areas between two bore hole logsDCSECTION
  • New automatic function for filling of all the soil layer areas between two bore hole logs 
  • With the function “Fill” just click both bore hole logs at their reference point (red circle)
  • For all the soil layers in their order from top to bottom, where the main soil type is the same, the area between the bore hole logs is filled with color and symbols
  • All the other areas may be filled manually following your own consideration
  • Brightening of the colors for the fill areas is possible to make sure that the soil layer labels are still readable
DCBORE
  • Support of the latest SEP format from the Geozentrum Hannover (readable with version 2016 of MS Access)
  • Well pipes may be filled with the surrounding infilling, e.g. for refilling of wells
  • The width of the height offset for soil layer lines may be changed to have a clear presentation for extensive soil layer labels
  • Glass balls are now available as filter infilling
